Cory Sufrin Memorial Scholarship Award

Cory Sufrin was “An excellent Respiratory Therapy educator who truly cared about his students,” (John Blewett RRT.) Cory Sufrin died of brain cancer and a scholarship was established in his name shortly after his death by the NMSRC. The scholarship was established to assist students with their education in each accredited respiratory education program in New Mexico. “It is considered by the NMSRC as an investment in the future of the Respiratory Therapy profession.” (John Blewett, RRT)

Application Process:
The scholarship is awarded to one student from each accredited Respiratory Therapy program in the state of New Mexico annually. The recipients chosen should exemplify the ideals of exceptional patient care, and scholastic achievement. The recipients are chosen by the Program Directors (or their designee) by completing the attached form and submitting it to the NMSRC by the first day of August each year.
Each recipient will be awarded a check from the NMSRC at the NMSRC Annual Conference in August for $250.00 to use as he/she sees fit.
